Main focus of the role
Salary £40-45k depending on experience plus £25k OTE.
The role of the Business Development Manager is to identify new business opportunities through a number of different channels, qualify the opportunity and manage the sales process to a successful close.
The BDM will have the ability, drive and determination to achieve targets, improve profitability and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
As a business development manager, you will:
Research and identify new business opportunities through new target markets, existing & new partnerships, and establishing new ways of reaching existing markets
Position Wireless Social to such markets in a way that supports our reputation and demonstrates our capabilities as the market leader in our field
Seek out the appropriate contacts & decision makers in an organisation and build strong relationships with all key stakeholders
Manage a pipeline of opportunities, from inception to successful close using the available sales enablement tools and processes
Have a good understanding of our products and services and have the ability to articulate these at all levels, in order to secure new business opportunities
Conduct customer meetings and demos, face to face or online
Attend & represent the business at industry conferences and events, proactively engaging with new prospective clients
Identify new potential partnerships, qualify the opportunity and integration capabilities & benefits to Wireless Social
Support the Sales Director in delivering the new business strategy, have a good awareness of the industry landscape and have the ability to adapt and respond quickly to the changing climate
Report to the business on a weekly basis on new opportunities, pipeline progression and new business wins/losses (conversion)
You must have
Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed monthly sales targets
The ability to self-motivate, setting your own goals and prioritising your own workload
Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders, both internally and externally
The ability to make initial contact, establish and build relationships with new prospects, understand their requirements and develop long lasting, trusted partnerships that will deliver results
Commercial awareness, strong negotiator and the ability to think strategically
A flexible approach to working with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Good organisational and decision-making skills, the ability to multitask and prioritise your workload
Have a collaborative approach to work, build strong relationships with your peers across the wider business
Support marketing with partnership initiatives and tracking of leads generated by marketing campaigns
IT literate, be able to utilise sales enablement software, CRM and Google applications
An understanding of the UK Hospitality market would be advantageous
Key relationships
You will report directly to the Sales Director on all matters relating to your role
You will work closely with Marketing, Account Management, Product and Technical teams
You will build strong working relationships with current and prospect partners to ensure we maximise the opportunities available
